Footy insiders anticipate a decision about the future structure of the South East football competitions will be announced by Adelaide-based administrators as early as this week.
The rumours mill suggests the current three leagues will not change.
However, the grapevine talk is the Western Border Football League will be re-badged, have a new constitution and its junior grades will face a major overhaul.
The word around the traps is the re-badged Western Border will be looking to add to its six clubs for the 2025 season.
It failed to entice the Hamilton Kangaroos, Penola and Portland clubs to return to the fold for 2024.
All mooted changes need to be ratified by the South Australian Football Commission.
Commentator Gorden “Milo” Milosevic has aired these rumours on the national broadcaster.
His informants are also signalling major changes to the player transfer points system will also come into play.
Mr Milosevic has tipped the Penola and Kybybolite clubs would seriously consider swapping leagues.
