Forestry union praise

Member for Mount Gambier Troy Bell has recently praised the Forestry division of the Construction, Forestry Mining and Energy Union.

During an evening session of the House of Assembly, Mr Bell said he wanted to highlight the existence of this division of the CFMEU.

“I have only had very positive interactions with our forestry union,” Mr Bell said.

“‘Whilst we do not always agree, it is the largest employer in my region.

“I have only ever seen them fight for, as a representative body, the workers in terms of safety, in terms of pay and in terms of conditions.

“I do recognise the efforts they make on behalf of the largest employment group in our region and the largest number of employers in our region.”
