Golfers hit road

South East Veteran golfers ventured to Bordertown on a warm day and they found the course in pristine condition.

More than 50 golfers took to the greens, with Mount Gambier’s Daryl Hutchins 3scoring 9 points to win First Division from local lad Chris Leach on 38, with Millicent’s Geoff Cameron third with 37.

Second Division was won by Rob “Tank” Thompson, our VP from Millicent with 35 from Bordertown’s Pat Seneca and Blue Lake’s Gavin Sparrow both with 33.

Barry Brook, Brian Slape, Lyndsay Copeman, and Graham Pilgrim took out the nearest the pins.

The prized Ross Orchard trophy was won by Wayne Dunford and Jimmy Hyland.

The Scotch was taken home by the ever-smiling Kym Sandford.

The group’s next game is at Blue Lake on November 20 followed by Port MacDonnell on December 4.
