Golfers tee off for host of competitions

The Millicent Women’s Golf Club hosted 14 ladies for a stroke event, monthly medal, third round captain’s trophy, qualifying round club and grade championships.


A putting competition and a Fosters Foodland voucher were also up for grabs in sunny but windy conditions.


Karen MacGregor won the A Grade competition with nett 75, with Kathy Webber runner up on 76.


Karen Lock was too good in the B Grade with nett 75, with Bec Shanks runner up on 80.


Lock also won the nine hole competition on the front nine with nett 35.5.


Ball winners were Kirsty Bailey 79, Helen Chilton 79 and Julie McKenzie 80.


Nearest the pins went to Kirsty Bailey (2nd shot 12th hcp 0-24), Karen Lock (2nd shot 5th hcp 25-540 and Bec Shanks (2nd shot 17th hcp 25-54).


Sue Agnew won the putting competition with 28 and Karen MacGregor won the monthly medal and the Fosters Foodland voucher with nett 75.
