Hospital open day pushed back

The open day at Millicent and District Hospital has been rescheduled for the fourth time and will now be held on April 28.

It was previously scheduled for March 10 – the Sunday of the Adelaide Cup holiday long weekend.

However, Millicent service clubs are committed to the Lucindale Field Days later that week and so a fresh date was chosen.

One of the anticipated highlights are tours of the upgraded student nurse accommodation in the former matron’s apartment.

The last Millicent Hospital Open Day was held in 2019 when hundreds walked through the grounds, wards and operating theatres.
