International finds form at right end of premier league season

International v Naracoorte
An in-form International hosts Naracoorte United in round 15 of the Barry Maney Group Limestone Coast Premier League.

International is coming off a massive win against Centrals and with one match remaining before finals, the side will be desperate to keep its recent winning form going.

After two consecutive losses, International responded with two wins and if it cannot beat the struggling Naracoorte then it will take some good form into finals.

Naracoorte has not had the best season in 2023, but there have been some highlights for the side.

One no doubt was going to Casidio Park earlier this season and coming away with a point, an excellent feat.

Naracoorte could go a step further this time and take all three points and finish its season in the best possible manner.

Lauren Mather will be crucial for this to happen.

Mather has been Naracoorte best this year and International will put a bit more pressure on Mather whether she has the ball at her feet or not.

International showed last week it has numerous outlets to score, this will make the duties of the Naracoorte defence more extensive but they will need to rise to the occasion.

With finals next week International will need to prove it is worthy to be there with a big win over Naracoorte.

Millicent v Apollo
Millicent will host the ladder leaders Apollo in the final round of the Barry Maney Group Limestone Coast Premier League in an exciting match up to close out the home and away season.

Millicent will finish fourth this season meaning the match has little impact on its finals situation.

However Apollo require a win with Blue Lake breathing down its neck at first.

Apollo has been the best team all year only dropping any points against Blue Lake.

Millicent have lost from the sides to previous meetings 2 – 3, and 3 – 1.

United have been close in the past, but Apollo have proven extremely hard to get in front of.

Apollos’ defence of Kyra Kuchel and Rylee Kuchel have worked well together keeping the opposition out this season.

Lana Shepherd has been Blue Lake’s goal scorer this season and will believe she can get past the defence enough to get the result for her team.

Shepherd has scored multiple times in games this season, causing headaches for defenders.

The midfield is ultimately where the match will be won and Apollo has the form to control the match.

Millicent needs to do its best to disrupt Apollo from controlling the midfield and then, perhaps, it can cause an upset.

Centrals v Blue Lake
Centrals will not be playing finals in 2023, however round 15 offers the side one last chance to knock over a big fish in the defending premiers Blue Lake.

The season for Centrals has come with lots of losses and unfortunately the side has struggled to find ways to win.

It has come close several times throughout the season to causing an upset but has just been unable to get over the line.

But after coming off one of its worst losses this season Centrals will need to respond and beating a high quality side such as Blue Lake is the perfect response.

Blue Lake is coming off a more successful round 14 having beaten top of the table Apollo yet again this season.

It is going into finals with hopes of still claiming the top of the table spot, so there is plenty to play for.

The Rangers are in excellent form heading into finals having won six straight matches.

However it will need to keep its form going into finals and a loss against Centrals could derail its season as a knock to its confidence.

Jasmine White is the leading goalscorer in the league and is in fantastic form, Centrals will be wary whenever the ball is at her feet.

It’s an important match for both teams Blue Lake are chasing first place, while Centrals will look to finish its season with an upset to celebrate.
