Items sought for Millicent time capsule

The call has gone out to local clubs, organisations, businesses and the general public to submit “fresh” memorabilia for the Millicent town time capsule.

Last November there was the ceremonial opening at the Millicent Library of the town time capsule from 1995.

Assistance came from former Kimberly-Clark Australia Tantanoola Pulp Mill employees Craig Robinson and Richard Nobbs who built the iron structure.

More than 88 items collected from 25 years ago such as newspaper clippings were put on display.

The community are now welcome to bring along their own item to the Millicent Library to add to the time capsule which will be closed and re-opened again in 25 years’ time.

The last entries for the time capsule will be accepted on May 13.
