Mount Gambier students were transported to a virtual underwater world during Book Week at the city’s library.
The library chose to celebrate Book Week through exploring the “Other World” right under our feet in our local community – Sinkholes.
This year the library presented a light show projection in the Children’s Cave along with a presentation from a guest speaker.
The light show was made up of underwater footage of The Pines and Ewen’s Ponds sinkholes.
Special guest presenter Josh Richards, a sinkhole diver with more than 10 years’ experience, brought his specialised equipment required to dive under water in sinkholes.
The children were engaged and excited asking a myriad of questions.
