Member for Barker Tony Pasin will host his annual Big Aussie Barbie fundraiser on September 22.

The fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the Limestone Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

“Prostate cancer threatens the lives of one in six Aussie men,” Mr Pasin said.

“A significant number of these men are suffering from the physical and emotional side effects of treatment and many of them are confronting that battle without adequate support.

“Working in conjunction with the Limestone Coast Prostate Cancer Support Group I delivered a dedicated Prostate Cancer Nurse for the Limestone Coast.

“Mount Gambier based Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse Tracy Bryant will be joining us on the day to discuss her role and the support services available to sufferers within the Limestone Coast community.”

The fundraiser will be held outside Mr Pasin’s office at 27 Commercial Street East, starting at 11.30am.
