Millicent cancer charity supported

It was familiar territory indeed when Millicent Cancer Support Group committee member Janine Holding recently called at the Medical Clinic Millicent to accept a donation to the charity.

Ms Holding had previously worked for decades in administrative and support roles at the practice in Short Street ahead of her retirement a few years ago.

Along with Linda Stark, she collected the proceeds of a recent fundraiser.

Medical, nursing and support staff discarded their usual uniforms and donned pink colours and even dyed their hair this vibrant hue.

It was timed to coincide with the eve of Mother’s Day and clinic staff and patients were asked to make a donation to the Milicent Cancer Support Group.

Clinic practice manager Bronwyn Barker came up with the idea.
