Millicent history on show

The South East Family History group is holding a photographic display of businesses and shops over the years in Millicent going back to the 1870s onwards.

A slide show will be running at the same time and the general public are welcome to attend the Millicent research centre on Mount Gambier Road and see the changes over this period of time.

The first session will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) from 1pm-4pm and another at this time on Saturday.

The SEFHG is hoping to see people who can tell stories of working in Millicent and surrounds over the years.

Non-members and SEFHG members are invited to call in for a chat and a cuppa throughout the two afternoons.

The group plans to collate the photographs and recollections of shops and businesses into folders for the permanent collection of the SEFHG.
