Millicent store to reopen

Apopular Millicent retailer will trade again from Tuesday morning (May 30) after three months of being closed.

The Salvation Army arrived in Millicent in 1885 and has operated a thrift shop at various locations for over 25 years.

Its Glen Street shop closed in February with little notice due to staffing difficulties.

During the closure, the rented premises have been upgraded and the Salvation Army continued to accept donations from the public of Millicent at its collection bins.

The shop sells affordable items and the profits go towards the social welfare activities of The Salvos.
