Coonawarra’s Majella Wines’ 2021 Musician was recently awarded the Imperial Hotel Trophy for the Best Dry Red Blend at the prestigious Cowra wine show.
The award-winning wine also received top gold in its class and Majella Wines part owner Brian Lynn said it was nice to know other people enjoyed the wine.
“The Musician in general since we released it in 2005 has won many trophies because it’s just a really easy drinking, very lovely red blend of cabernet and shiraz,” Mr Lynn said.
“It’s just nice to know that your peers like it as well.”
The Musician has proved to be a crowd pleaser and is one of Majella’s most decorated wines.
It has won trophies in many wine shows around Australia and is a popular, easy-drinking wine, which is great for all occasions with a soft and well-balanced palate.
Majella Wines has been recognised for producing award-winning, exceptional wines and they have won well over 1000 awards over the years, with 86 of these being trophies.
“Majella is a team job, two great winemakers, some great cellar staff,” Mr Lynn said.
“It’s a great team, it’s a very good team effort and it’s nice that people still think we’re doing a good job.”
