Naracoorte police investigate assault

Police are investigating a report of indecent assault at Naracoorte last week.

About 8.20pm on November 10 a woman was walking her dog along Memorial Drive when she was approached from behind by a man, who grabbed the hood of her jumper causing her to drop a puppy she was also carrying.

When she bent down to pick up the puppy the man indecently assaulted her.

He then ran off after the victim’s dog jumped up and scratched him.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as having a dark/tanned complexion, possibly Maori/Islander appearance, about 180cm tall, medium build with a deep/muffled voice.

He was wearing a short-sleeved dark-coloured shirt.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers online www.crimestopperssa.com.au or via phone 1800 333 000.
