Millicent Baptists have recently welcomed a new pastor who is ministering to the Ridge Terrace congregation.

It is the first such appointment for Pastor Simun Lalich.

He is being mentored in the role by the Baptist congregation in Mount Gambier.

Pastor Simun will work part-time at Millicent and also in secular employment in the Blue Lake city.

An induction service is being arranged for the coming weeks.

The Millicent Baptist Church has not had a resident full-time minister since the Reverend Arthur Tzanakis transferred to Kadina around five years ago.

The church marked its golden jubilee in Millicent in 2020.
