Last week the 13C had a beautiful sunny morning in Kyby.

The girls played a great game, improving each game and growing in confidence.

Maddison played a strong game and lots of chasing loose balls, winning Menzies hotel award.

Henna’s intercepts at centre and holding in the goal circle won her the Lolly Shop award.

The 13B team was fortunate that Kyby let it play extra quarters so both 13B teams could get a decent run.

The girls started off strongly and continued to play well all game.

Defensively they were fantastic at shadow defence, causing lots of pressure and turning the ball over often.

The ball movement down the court was good and when the players used change of direction and timed leads they looked very good.

The 13a Eagles came out with fire in their bellies ready to take on a competitive Kyby, in what was ones of their best games of the season.

A fierce battle was predicted in A grade and with a different line up again this week, it was going to be a difficult match.

The last time these two teams played, it resulted in a draw.

With Siobhan Adams out with concussion, Kaitlin Egan moved into Centre and Sally Skeer into WA.

They both picked up from where they left off with their mid court combo moving the ball well.

Although the Tigers got the early jump, the Eagles found their rhythm, dominating the second half of the first quarter to take the lead out to seven at the first break.

It was like deja vu early in the second from the week before when Brooke Klemm took a big fall landing badly, unable to return to the game.

Chelsea Galpin moved back to GK and Tara Millard stepped up once again in WD to play seven quarters for the day.

Jordyn Adams was pivotal in the match up on Charlee Hodges wearing her like a glove and getting some amazing deflections and interceptions all throughout the court.

The Eagles pushed out their lead to 20 at the half time break.

Multiple changes were made to the Kyby side throughout the match but that did not stop the Eagles.

April Possingham was well supported by Tegan Lythgo who was super impressive all day as she was often left alone to land beautifully and finish strong earning herself the Dergolm Pub award.

She netted 27/31 at 89% which for a GA is incredible let alone as a 15 year old in her first year of A Grade.

The second half was much closer but the Eagles were too strong winning every quarter and stretching the lead out to 25 by the final whistle.
