Penola High School’s year nine students recently went on a three-day expedition to the Grampians in Victoria.
Standing at over 700 metres above sea level, students endured a seven kilometre hike to the tip of The Pinnacle.
Led by students in the stage one and two outdoor education class, students navigated narrow trails, uneven surfaces and jagged rock faces.
Showing true grit and determination all students completed the trek.
Freezing temperatures did little to dampen the moods with students setting their sights on other activities including rock climbing.
Although most students were apprehensive starting this session, it was inspiring to see the way in which they faced their fears.
They showed true resilience and overcame gigantic hurdles including a 22-metre cliff face.
