Pioneers roster finalised

The OneFortyOne Pioneers’ roster has been finalised for the NBL1 South Conference 2024 season, with 24-year-old Zoe Hurley set to join the side.

The 178cm Hurley is currently playing in Cyprus with Anagennisi Germasogias and has played both in Ireland for Griffith College since 2021.

For the last three seasons she played in Australian winters with the Melbourne Tigers in the NBL1 South competition.

While playing for Melbourne Tigers she took the court in 31 games averaging 16.37 minutes, shooting 41.18% from the floor with 3.48 rebounds.

As a Tiger, she played with current Pioneers Zitina Aokuso and Isabella Brancatisano and is looking forward to reuniting with them.

OneFortyOne Pioneers Head Coach Matt Sutton is delighted to have closed off his roster for the 2024 season with the signing of Hurley.

“Zoe joining our team gives us more depth and another player with experience playing in the NBL1 South competition,” he said.

“She is a tough competitor who has a passion for the sport and her own development.

“Zoe will be a great fit with us.”

Basketball fans will be able to Hurley and the rest of the OneFortyOne Pioneers when they take on Frankston Blues in their first home game of the season on Saturday, April 13 at Wulanda.
