OneFortyOne Pioneers will head across the border for another double header road trip.
The Pioneers will take on Geelong United on Saturday night, before backing up against the Bendigo Braves on Sunday.
The Mount Gambier side is the only NBL1 South conference team that remains undefeated, making this weekend’s round 5 matches all the more important.
The Pioneers dished out a comprehensive loss to the Keilor Thunder last Friday night, overpowering the top side comfortably.
Head coach Matt Sutton said his team was preparing for two challenging matches, declaring the road trip as a pair of exciting games.
Sutton said the Geelong side was “dangerous”.
“They have got good size and a lot of talent, we are going to have to be really up for that game,” he said.
“Then Bendigo are the number 1 team, they play three games between now and then, so we’ll see how they go.
“Bendigo went undefeated last year and won the championship, we lost to them in the prelim by a point.
“We cannot wait for that game, we will put our eggs in the Geelong basket as we play that first and then move on to the Bendigo game.”
The Pioneers will be home again on May 10 when they play the Nunawading Spectres.
