The Millicent Football Netball Club and McLaughlin Parks Sports Incorporated were delighted to recently receive a $20,000 donation from Variety: the Children’s Charity.

The funds will assist the McLaughlin Park complex with a playground being built between the Peter Seebohm Basketball Stadium and the tennis/netball courts.

It can be utilised by the younger siblings of the sporting participants, improving the overall family experience.

The cheque presentation was made at the Millicent Saleyards where the Upper Snuggery Racing Team ran a very successful Motorkhana event for Variety: The Children’s Charity.

The experienced team of Upper Snuggery put the cars through their paces, with some fast times recorded.

The Millicent event was part of the weekend Aussie Muscle Car Run with numerous examples of the Monaro, Charger and Ford GTHO head-turning vehicles.

The MFNC also catered for the event and the lunch was enjoyed by the participants.
