Police catch up with drug driver

A truck driver will appear in court after being charged with drug driving.

About 9am on September 1 police received information regarding the erratic driving of a prime mover travelling between Victoria and Mount Gambier.

Further enquiries led police to a local business in Mount Gambier where the vehicle was parked.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Victoria, underwent a drug test and returned a positive result to methamphetamine.

Further enquiries revealed the driver held a disqualified Victorian driver’s licence and was breaching his log book conditions.

The driver was arrested, issued with a three-month immediate loss of licence notice and was refused bail.
