Limestone Coast Police were kept busy on the roads over the weekend with numerous drink-drivers caught in the region.
About 5.15pm on Saturday a 55-year-old Robe man was stopped by police at a driver testing site on Main Road in Robe.
The driver returned a positive breath test result of 0.081 and was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 7pm on Saturday a 39-year-old Tarpeena man was stopped by police on the Riddoch Highway at Mil-Lel, after he was detected driving at 141kph in a 110kph zone.
The driver also returned a positive breath test result of 0.094.
He was reported for both offences and was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice.
His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will appear in court at a later date.
About 8pm on Saturday a 37-year-old Mount Gambier man was located by police on Montebello Drive at Mount Gambier, after police had received reports of a vehicle travelling on the road driving on its rims.
Upon arrival police noted the vehicle was stationary, with the driver attempting to put the vehicle in motion.
The man returned a breath test result of 0.149 and was subsequently reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 8.15pm on Saturday a 32-year-old Victorian man was stopped by police on North Terrace, Bordertown.
The man returned a positive breath test result of 0.160 and was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 12.33am on Sunday a 57-year-old local man was stopped by police on McFarlane Street in Robe.
The driver returned a breath test result of 0.187 and was subsequently reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He was issued with a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
About 1.13am on Sunday a 37-year-old Mount Gambier woman was stopped by police on Queens Avenue at Mount Gambier due to her manner of driving.
The driver returned a breath test result of 0.081 and was subsequently reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.
She was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and her vehicle was impounded for 28 days. The woman will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
