Police investigate hit and run

Police have identified a ute involved in a hit-run crash at Beachport on New Year’s Eve.

About 8.45pm police and emergency services were called to the sand dunes near Lake George Road, after reports that an 18-year-old Victorian man had been hit by a ute.

The grey Toyota two-door ute did not have any registration plates and drove away from the area.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of leg injuries.

The owner of the ute has now been identified. Police investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
