All eyes will be trackside tomorrow as the Mount Gambier Racing Club holds its annual twilight Christmas race meeting.
Gates at the Allan Scott Glenburnie Racecourse will open at 1pm, with all the racing action anticipated to kick off around 2.40pm with race 1.
Mount Gambier Racing Club Manager Brett Watson said the club was expecting a positive turnout for the signature event.
“We have 143 horse nominations at this stage across eight races and bookings for the upstairs function area have been strong,” Mr Watson said.
General admission tickets are still available online or at the gate, providing access to the Good Tides Seltzer Garden with the Brookvale Union bar and a DJ.
“Come along and enjoy an afternoon and evening trackside with entertainment, local food and wine and of course top quality racing,” Mr Watson said.
“This is an ideal event for Christmas or end of year function so we look forward to seeing good crowd numbers trackside.”
“Following a nine week break in racing the track is in fantastic shape and with Friday’s weather forecast looking fine, we are looking forward to a great event.”
