Rain cannot keep Millicent golfers away

Millicent’s women golfers braved light rain and overcast conditions last week.

Despite the wintry conditions, 20 ladies took to the course to play a stableford round.

Val Williams won the A Grade with 37points, with Kathy Webber runner up on a countback with 35.

Sue Ireland’s 37 points was enough to win B Grade from Debbie Tincknell on 36.

Ball winners were Karen Lock, Lois Tilley and Mardi Sunderland.

Sue Ireland with 22 points won the nine-hole competition.

Nearest the pins went to Webber (third), Tincknell (second shot 17th) and Lois Tilley (second shot 5th).

The players marked a special occasion for Glenis Skeer, who turned 80.
