Rain fails to deter monthly medal golfers

In cold, windy and drizzly rain 25 women played a stroke round for the Millicent Golf Club’s women’s monthly medal, putting competition and Fosters Foodland voucher.

Sue Agnew won the A grade with nett 74 on a countback to Heather Anderson.

In the B grade Julie McKenzie’s nett 75 proved too good for runner up Karen Lock’s nett 76.

Ball winners were Helen Chilton 75, Karen MacGregor 77c/b and Jilly Herdman 77.

Nearest the pin on the third went to Kathy Webber, 2nd shot 5th handicap 25-45 – Carmel Cory and 2nd shot 17th handicap 32-45 – Karen Lock.

Long drives were won in A grade by Sue Agnew, B grade Carmel Cory and C grade Julie Moran.
