The Eagles came up against an in-form Naracoorte Demons outfit and put in a strong four-quarter performance to record their seventh win in a row.
The Eagles had a very strong 53-point victory and they would be looking to the coming rounds to set up a top-three finish and top spot with a few more wins.
Mackenzie Bower led the way for the Eagles with six goals.
Zac Richards added three goals of his own as the Eagles had a good spread of goal-kickers with 10 players recording goals for the game.
Mark Quinn, Zac Richards and Mackenzie Bower led the best players for Border Districts.

Chad Wood, Ethan Murdock and Cody Benson were the Saints’ best players.
Henry Tregoweth tried hard to keep the Roos in the game with four goals.
Henry Tregoweth, Daniel McCarthy and Luke Kelsh were Lucindale’s better players.
Keith proved far too strong for Penola with a big 66-point victory on Saturday.
The Crows put the game away in the second quarter with a big push and were never headed by the Eagles.
Penola’s bad kicking for the goal hurt any chances they had of the game being closer.
The Eagles only had two fewer scoring shots than the Crows in the first half but were behind by 37 points at half time.
Keith was in control in the second half to record a big win.

ROUND 10 PREVIEW
Mundulla v Padthaway
Round 10 this weekend and now that everyone has played each other once we are starting to see the contenders come out and show themselves before the finals start in August.
Mundulla host Padthaway and the Tigers and Lions always seem to have good contests over the past few years.
Two years ago, they met in the grand final where the Tigers put on a second-half masterclass to overcome Padthaway.
Then last year Padthaway upset Mundulla in a low-scoring game.
The Tigers will be happy they are getting their best team back as Darcy King returned two games ago and he just changes everything when the Tigers go forward.
Darcy is hard to stop when on the lead and his long arms come out.
Add in James Hinge and you have a two-pronged attack that can do damage.
Padthaway will try to stop the supply to these two as Mitchell Minns, Mitch Cotter and Tom Edwards will need to win the on-ball battle to set up enough chances for Tobin Cox and Will Rivers to kick a winning score.
Jake McGrice, Nick Mosey and the rest of the Mundulla midfield will get more of the ball and lead Mundulla to a strong victory.
Penola v Kingston
Penola is at home to Kingston and in round one it was a nightmare start for Penola as Kingston was all over them from the opening bounce.
This time around I would expect Kingston to get the job done again but the margin to be a lot closer.
The Eagles have been more competitive since the round one clash and players like Jayden Eldridge, Scott Merrett, Bradley Bryant and Ben Swan would have gelled more into the team structure since round one.
Kingston on the other hand has been rolling along getting victories despite also receiving a few injuries.
The Saints have won their last two games to keep them in reach of the top three teams and would view this game as a must-win clash if they are to finish with a double chance when the finals are here.
Players like Jack Harding, Campbell Watts, Will Watts and Ben Warner have been in good form in recent games.
The wing running from Chad Wood and Ethan Murdock on the weekend was also a strong advantage the Kingston coach has been looking for.
The Saints should get across the line in this game after Penola put up a fight in the first half.
Kybybolite v Naracoorte
Kybybolite hosts Naracoorte and this game has upset written all over it.
The Tigers have been playing good football in recent weeks without getting across the line.
Billy Laurie, Brad Castine and Joseph Schultz almost led the Tigers to an upset victory over Mundulla last weekend.
If the Tigers get four quarters of great solid football, they just might get over the Demons at home.
Naracoorte will go in as favourites as they are in the top five and have had some good wins this year.
They got taught a lesson by Border Districts last weekend, so they will want to bounce back. I expect Naracoorte Coach Matt Willson will have the Demons fired up against the arch-rivals and should get across the line by a few goals.
Keith v Lucindale
Keith hosts Lucindale this week and the Crows are looking good and a main challenger for the top three.
The Crows should be too good for Lucindale with a strong forward set-up and general ball use around the ground.
The Roos still have some good players in Hamish Gordon, Henry Tregoweth and Bradley Agnew but they do not have the depth of last year.
The Crows should get enough supply to George Johnson, Billy Wade and Riley Wilsden to kick the a winning score.
Border Districts v Bordertown
Border Districts host Bordertown and the Eagles will be heavy favourites to continue their run of wins.
The Eagles have a strong football team on paper and the field and I expect the margin to be much bigger than the round one margin.
Dylan Schoenmaker and McKenzie Bower could be too much for the Roosters to handle.
Jacob Eats and Thomas Whittlesea will need a lot of supply from their midfield to be able to kick a winning score.
The Roosters at their best could take it right up to the Eagles. The problem is they do not put it together enough for four quarters. The Eagles by 5-6 goals.
