Another fire ready workshop will be held in Penola this month, after last year’s event was a flaming success.


Last year’s workshop for women proved successful late last year, with another free one day workshop scheduled to be held at the Penola CFS station on Sunday, April 7 from 9am to 4.30pm.


CFS community engagement officer Megan Hurrell will speak on topics including bushfire behaviour and warnings, property preparation, where to go and when and your bushfire survival plan.


There will be several short practical sessions held throughout the day.


Ms Hurrell said those who attended the workshop last year were welcome to attend, along with new and interested women.
