Shark attack victim returns to water

Beachport shark attack victim Pamela Cook (pictured with husband Greg) returned to the waters of Rivoli Bay on Sunday morning for the first time in more than two months.

It was her first swim since being attacked by a juvenile white pointer shark near the jetty on October 2.

Joining her on Sunday were her fellow members of the Sea Urchins and Sea Slugs who swim each morning.

Her injuries required more than 200 stitches during a 5.5-hour emergency operation at Mount Gambier Hospital.

The 64-year-old has signalled she will resume her daily swimming regime which has been a part of her life for the past 13 years.
