Shooters honour Anzac Day

Solid number of competitors sign on for 50 target event

The recent Anzac Day holiday Sporting Clay shoot at Burrungule Park enticed 86 competitors to nominate for the 50 target event sponsored by O.G. Roberts & Co, Millicent Tyre Centre and Cocky`s Autopro.

Jeremy Kent won the Gambier Shooting Supplies High Gun by recording a score of 48/50.

The next best was shot by AA Grade winner Malcolm Whitehead with 46/50, one target more than Danny Bellinger.

A Grade went to Jared Eason, while the B and C Grade titles were won by Allan Cowan and Richard Try respectively.

The Sub Junior podium was William Von Stanke, Kain Ashby and Liam Millard, Christopher Wright won Seniors with 45/50.

Wayne Gurney was the top Veteran and Ben Hastings led the Juniors class, while the Women’s podium was Tasha Bellinger, Meagan Whitehead and Rebecca Kober.

The Lake Bonney/Burrungule Challenge was regained by the South East branch from Lake Bonney Sporting Clays.

Ken Atkin sponsored the 20 target side by side Compak event won by Daniel Ashby after a shoot off with Kent.
