Astrong field of 82 shooters took to the range recently for the South East Field and Game’s Hodge Denture Clinic sponsored 75-target event.
With cool, wet and windy weather conditions making things tricky for the day’s competitors at Burrungule Park, entrants opted to tackle Ken Atkin’s course for the event.
Jeremy Kent was in his regular top form, only dropping a solitary target for the event to land the Gambier Shooting Supplies high gun accolade with 74 out of a possible 75 targets shot.
The Mount Gambier Gun Club left the venue with bragging rights after securing the inter-club challenge by 11 targets after the top 10 scores over the two disciplines were tallied up for each club.
Looking ahead to the next competition at Burrungule Park, the Fennell Forestry 75 target and shoot will be held on November 27 with an AGM and barbecue to follow event presentations.
