Sinkhole plays host to sold-out show

Sold-out Adelaide Fringe Show ‘Myths, Legends and Fantasy’ will be taking place at Umpherston Sinkhole on Saturday.

Emma Knights will perform as a garden nymph for two all-original music cabaret shows, one at 2pm and another at 6pm.

Miss Knights is a classically-trained pianist and also has her Honours in pop music, so she will perform an eclectic mix of original music.

“It does have some really poignant songs and it does have a very funny song called ‘If the Gods were on Tinder’, so it’s got some comedy in there as well, it’s not all serious,” she said.

Miss Knights said the songs were a journey through myths, legends and fantasy with a feminine lilt, with Umpherston Sinkhole chosen for the shows because she loved discovering new places and was a big fan of the outdoors.

“I just thought it’s a magical place so why not put this fantastical-based show on there,” she said.

“I’m so looking forward to it, I think it’s going to be a lovely experience, a lovely setting to perform in.”

Miss Knights said the performance was lots of fun and enjoyable and involved a little audience participation.
