Two proud local businesses have joined forces to bring a sensational footy tipping competition to the Limestone Coast.
Steeline Roofing Mount Gambier has signed on as the naming rights sponsor of The SE Voice’s AFL tipping competition for season 2022.
The SE Voice had outstanding community involvement with the paper’s inaugural footy tipping competition last year – but this year is set to be bigger and better.
The SE Voice owner and editor Lechelle Earl welcomed the partnership with Steeline Roofing Mount Gambier to bring a $2000 first prize for season 2022.
“Last year we had a $1000 first prize and attracted hundreds of tippers every week of the season,” Ms Earl said.
“This year is going to be sensational and to partner with another proud family-owned Limestone Coast business to offer a $2000 prize is very exciting.
“We cannot thank Steeline enough for their support and look forward to continuing our local partnership.
“Everyone knows that Steeline is a strong supporter of country sport, however Tony and his team have now extended that to sports fans across our region.
“The team at The SE Voice is very proud to be associated with such a well-respected local business.”
Steeline Roofing Mount Gambier managing director Tony Steen said he was looking forward to his company’s involvement with the tipping competition.
The business has been operating in the Limestone Coast for more than 30 years and has a proud reputation for sponsoring local sporting leagues.
“We live in such a keen sporting community so joining with The SE Voice to sponsor a tipping competition is a great fit for our business,” Mr Steen said.
“We are all about locals supporting locals and jumped at the opportunity to partner with The SE Voice to bring a great tipping competition to the Limestone Coast.
“There’s nothing like a bit of AFL banter on a Monday morning to see how everyone fared with their tips.”
Mr Steen said Steeline would also offer prize packs during the competition at rounds 5, 10, 15 and 20.
Steeline account manager Malcolm Lockwood, a keen Western Bulldogs supporter, said he was looking forward to businesses also getting involved with the tipping competition.
“It will be great around the job sites on Monday mornings to have a bit of banter to see where businesses are sitting after each round,” he said.
“We love our footy in this region so I would encourage other businesses to get involved, as well as the readership tippers.
“It’s going to be a great season and we are really looking forward to watching the progress of everyone who takes part in the Steeline SE Voice Footy Tipping competition.”
