The second Coonawarra running festival show and shine attracted a mix of street machines.

A variety of historic, original, unrestored, classics, muscle, hot rods, utes, modern and older motorcycles from years gone by filled the Coonawarra tennis court area.

Lynx Security and Investigations from Adelaide once again came on board as major sponsors, along with Southern Auto Body Penola, Merrett Logging, ATI and Deland Engineering.

The judges were busy running over the various categories on show.

The people’s choice awardwent to a 1978 HZ Holden V8 Sandman panel van owned by Graham Mutch from Dartmoor.

The longest distance travelled award went to Bruce Lucking of Adelaide and he also picked up the best coupé of the event with his 1978 Ford Lincoln which has a 460ci big block engine.

Event chairman Jeff Pahl said there were registrations from Hamilton to Adelaide and everywhere in between.

Numbers were slightly down on last year, however many entrants said they would be keen to return in 2024.
