Summer Fiesta pops up in city

Koonara Wines invites the community to enjoy premium food and drink at their Summer Fiesta Pop-Up Wine Bar event in Mount Gambier tomorrow evening.

The event was rescheduled after its cancellation in January and Koonara Wines Director Nicole Reschke said she was excited to host the event at the Cave Gardens this year.

“We’re so excited that we can finally put it on,” Ms Reschke said.

“I think it’s going to be great in the Cave Gardens, such a beautiful little area there right in the heart of the city.”

A selection of favourite Koonara wines will be on offer along with Little Rippa beers and Cide Project cider and there will be a variety of food vendors including pizza, Picnic in the Woods, Finn’s Fine Food, Southern Hot Dogs and Argentinian Delights.

DJ Corey will be spinning the tunes and two cover bands will provide live music.

Ms Reschke said everything was working out well as COVID-19 restrictions eased across the state.

“I think people are seeing that things are settling down,” she said.

“Hopefully people will have the confidence to go out and make the most of the beautiful weather we have been having before it changes.”

The event starts at 4:30 and will wrap up around 10pm.

Tickets are available on the Koonara website for $30 each which includes a polycarbonate wine glass and kids can come along with free entry. Ms Reschke said walk-ins should also be accepted.

“We cannot wait to see everybody out and about and give people the opportunity to catch up with their friends in a nice, relaxed environment in the gardens with some music,” Ms Reschke said.

“The council has been really great to work with, we’re very grateful for their support and the Limestone Coast community for coming along.”
