Triples treat for tough trio

This week the numbers were down slightly for 2-4-2 bowls at Millicent.

A total of 26 players went out to play in rather windy conditions and because of the odd number two teams of triples played each other.

The winning team for the day went to one of the triples teams, Malcolm Wright, David Taylor and Neil Whelan with a score of 34+18.

In second place with a score of 33+15 was the team of Jim Campbell and Steve Carnellor.

Other winning teams were, Eddie Hann, Andre Reinders 32+11. Night Bowler Philip Keatley, Iain Campbell 32+8. Garth Baker, John Drew 29+1 and a draw between Terry Lonergan, Robert Radley and David Nuske, Bill Burdon 20+0.

The Millicent Bowls Club president informed all present that on Thursday, March 10 there would be a general meeting after the 2-4-2 game, starting around 4.30pm.
