Aservice to mark the centenary of the Robe War Memorial will be held at 11am on December 15.
The Robe sub-branch of the RSL has timed the commemoration to occur 100 years to the day since it was unveiled and dedicated.
Overlooking Guichen Bay, it was erected by public subscription in 1921 and lists the 60 men who served in the two world wars.
It is a white marble memorial comprising a statue of a soldier standing at ease supported behind the right leg with a tree stump.
It is anticipated that Robe District Council will authorise the temporary closure of Smillie Street from Davenport Street to Bagot Street between 10am and 12.30pm on the day.
