Water board seeks state cash splash

Ahigh level delegation travelled to Adelaide on Friday to lobby for additional funds for the South Eastern Water Conservation and Drainage Board.


Presiding member Brett McLaren, operations manager David Williamson and board members Jane Fetherstonehaugh and Pip Rasenberg put their case to Environment Minister and Deputy Premier Dr Susan Close.


The meeting was scheduled to last 30 minutes but went for 45.


The Drainage Board delegation stressed the need for funding of replacement or upgraded ageing infrastructure.
