Mount Gambier and Naracoorte will again host International Women’s Day breakfasts on March 11 – with a special speaker being live-streamed.
Women in Business & Regional Development will host the breakfasts at Mount Gambier’s City Hall and Gather on Gordon in Naracoorte with a livestream from the Adelaide event.
The Adelaide breakfast is the largest event celebrating International Women’s Day in Australia and it is the largest annual women’s event in the Adelaide calendar.
Mount Gambier’s event will be hosted by Jo Hodges and Naracoorte’s by Naome Burdon, starting at 6.45am sharp with the stream starting at 7am hosted by Senator Penny Wong with guest speaker Grace Tame.
Ms Tame is an outspoken advocate for survivors of sexual assault, particularly those who were abused in institutional settings. In 2021 she was recognised as the Australian of the Year, the Australian Financial Review’s most culturally powerful person and one of Time Magazine’s next generation leaders.
Tickets to the breakfast are on sale now and attendees are encouraged to book to ensure they do not miss out. Visit www.wibrd.org.au/events for further information and tickets.
