Accused firearms offenders face magistrate

Anumber of defendants faced Magistrate Koula Kossiavelos at the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court last week accused of firearms offences.


Jamie Keith Bennier was accused of acquiring, owning or possessing ammunition without a licence or permit.


Mr Bennier was adjourned to reappear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on May 21.


Adam William Harris is accused of failing to comply with a firearm licence condition and possessing a firearm without a licence and was adjourned to reappear in court on June 15.


Zachary Scott Leehane is accused of possessing a firearm without a licence among other matters and was adjourned to reappear in court on June 4.


Jason Garraway appeared before the court accused of carrying an offensive weapon, possessing or using a dangerous article, use or possession of a prohibited weapon and use a prohibited weapon in an unsafe and unsecure manner among a number of other matters.


Mr Garraway was adjourned to reappear before the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court at a later date.


Paul Bradley Sleep is accused of carrying an offensive weapon or dangerous item at night among other matters and was adjourned to reappear in court on June 3.
