Awoman has been charged with arson following a fire in Mount Gambier early on Tuesday morning.
A member of the public reported a fire in a wheelie bin on the footpath of an address at Bruning Place at 1.30am.
When patrols arrived the fire had been doused by members of the public.
About half an hour later, after an investigation and viewing nearby closed-circuit television, Mount Gambier patrols arrested a woman on nearby Rook Road.
The 53-year-old from Mount Gambier was refused police bail to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court.
