Inter v Blue Lake
International and Blue Lake battled it out in a thrilling match on Anzac Day night at Casadio Park in the second round of the Barry Maney Premier League season.
The first half was full intensity from kick off with both sides battling hard for the ball.
In the 11th minute Blue Lake’s Saw Nai got booked with a yellow.
Soon after in the 19th minute Inter struck gold with a goal from their main man Matthew Bueti opening his scoring account for the night.
Later, tempers flared when Inter’s Samuel Bueti and Matthew Bueti got booked with yellow cards.
With the game getting heated Inter remained calm as they were rewarded with a penalty in the 28th minute.
Matthew Bueti stepped up and slotted the penalty to give Inter a two goal lead.
Two minutes later Inter added to their lead with another goal from Bueti to make it 3-0.
Blue Lake found some success late in the half where they were rewarded with a penalty.
In the 37th minute Shar Nay Than stepped up and brought Blue Lake back into the game with a goal.
At half time Inter led the game 3-1.
At the start of the second half Inter made a substitution, Cedar Sopha came out for Federico Viezzer.
Blue Lake stunned Inter early in the second half with Shar Nay Than finding the back of the net in the 55th minute to cut it back to a 3-2 game.
Inter collapsed again with Sae Nay Mya equalising the score in the 56th minute.
The bleeding continued for Inter who lost the lead as they conceded another goal in the 59th minute.
Than did the damage for Blue Lake as this goal made it a hat trick for him.
After Blue Lakes’ goal Inter made another sub, taking out Nicholas Morony for Henry Haywood.
In the 71st minute things got heated where Inter goalkeeper James Kipping got sent off with a red card which was the final nail in the coffin.
Inter subbed Caleb Casey off for Joel Bull in the 71th minute.
In the 73rd minute Than struck again for Blue Lake with another goal to make it 5-3.
Right after in the 74th minute Inters Bueti scored the final goal of the match to make it 5-4.
Blue Lake defeated International 5-4 with Blue Lakes Shar Nay Than having another big game with four goals.
Naracoorte United v Gambier Centrals
Gambier Centrals took on Naracoorte in their first game of the season, starting the season well with a big away win.
The game started slow with no sides being able to find the back of the net.
In the 16th minute Centrals subbed Ronan McKenize off for Pacifique Baraka.
In the 19th minute the first booking was made with United’s Halim Sutjito picking up the yellow early in the game.
The scoring finally began in the 20th minute where Centrals Sam Shoemark nailed a penalty shot to give Centrals the lead.
Five minutes later Shoemark delivered again with another goal to give Centrals a two goal lead.
In the 28th minute Naracoorte picked up another yellow with Mojtaba Hussaini getting the booking.
Late in the first half Centrals scored again with Alexander Obedi getting the goal in the 42nd minute.
At halftime Centrals held a three goal lead.
Early in the second half Centrals made a substitution, taking off Obedi for Jake Stephenson.
A few minutes later United subbed off Mojtaba Hussaini for Murtaza Jafary.
The substitution did not help United as they conceded another goal.
Central’s Bradley White did the damage in the 51st minute.
In the 69th minute Centrals made another sub, taking off Justyn Saint for Nicholas Teodoro.
United also made a double substitution, taking off Hossian Panahi and Daniel Owen for Lauren Mather and Murtaza Hussaini.
Right after the substitutions Centrals scored again.
Jake Stephson got the goal to make it 6-0 in the 70th minute.
Five minutes later Centrals subbed James Davey off for Mitchell Manser.
The final goal of the game came from Central’s Bradley White in the 82nd minute.
Gambier Centrals had an all round great team win with five players scoring in the game.
Sam Shoemark and Bradley White contributed two goals each.
