There may be a change of venue in 2021 but Millicent chef Melissa Armfield has promised plenty of fun and tasty treats at her free annual cooking class.

The Shearers Cook Café proprietor is again donating her time and talent for the Celebrate Seniors Month program.

Instead of the Millicent High School home science centre, participants will make good use of the commercial kitchen facilities which were installed two years ago at the Millicent RSL Hall.

“There will be demonstrations as well as hands on cooking,” Ms Armfield said.

The focus of the cooking class will be on simple and nutritious meals.

Her cooking class commences at 11am on October 14.

Bookings are essential and must be made with the Millicent office of Wattle Range Council.

It has again sponsored the Celebrate Seniors Month program with mostly free activities throughout the council area running on most days of October.

The program will culminate on October 29 with the presentation of the Senior of the Year at an afternoon ceremony at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre.
