It was the rostered turn of St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Millicent to host an annual ecumenical event recently.
Around 50 members of seven of Millicent’s Christian churches gathered at the George Street church on this date for the World Day of Prayer.
The hour-long service was led by locum priest Father Alex Bainton along with Doris Bleby who is a worshipper at St Michael’s.
Members from the various denominations took roles in the service and it was followed by morning tea in the adjoining hall.
The prayers for the 2024 service came from Palestine and included statements from three women from that country about their difficult personal circumstances.
