Police have explained the significant presence of officers near Beachport on Friday as they were involved in an unsuccessful man hunt for an alleged offender.
A SA Police media unit spokesperson said officers attempted to pull over a speeding vehicle on the Southern Ports Highway, Beachport on Friday night
“However, the vehicle failed to stop,” the spokesperson said.
“It was located a short time later, abandoned.
“Police searched the area but no one was located.”
