Council hope dashed

Former Mount Gambier Mayor and restaurateur Andrew Lee was unsuccessful in his recent bid for the Darwin City Council.

There were eight candidates contesting three positions for the ward of Lyons and Mr Lee finished sixth with 9.3% of the primary vote.

He held the position of Mount Gambier Mayor for one term after being elected in 2014.

After serving for four years, Mr Lee was defeated by current Mayor Lynette Martin.
