The diamond jubilee of Millicent’s largest service club will be celebrated on May 11.


Past and present members of the Millicent Lions Club have been invited to a gala lunch at the Somerset Hotel in Millicent.


It will be 60 years in October since the Millicent Lions Club received its charter.


The foundation president was local farmer Doug Mitchell (now deceased) who also was the chairman of Millicent District Council at the time.
