Eldridge named as Eagles’ leader

The Penola Eagles have announced who will coach the side in the 2024 season with current star Jayden Eldridge taking on the role.

Eldridge will take over from Brad Maney who led the club for two seasons during a tough period for the club finishing tenth and eighth.

Eldrige will hope to continue the improvement from Maney’s second year and perhaps get the Eagles flying into Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara finals footy in 2024.

Eldridge was a standout for the Eagles this season and was the only Penola player named in the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara League’s team of the year, selected in the back pocket for the side after an outstanding season.

Next year will be Eldridge’s second season at the club after joining from East Gambier.

This will not be Eldridge’s first time as a head coach role having led East Gambier for two seasons before departing to Penola at the beginning of the 2023 season.
