Forum makes waves

Members of the community are staging an open meeting on July 21 to discuss aspects of the operation of the Millicent community radio station 5THE FM.

The forum will start at 6.30pm at St Alphonsus Hall in George Street with a Mount Gambier media identity expected to chair the event.

Some of the backers of the public meeting were formerly involved as active volunteers with the community radio station and have expressed their dissatisfaction to management.

Others have lodged complaints with regulatory bodies.

The SE Voice has approached 5THE FM for comment and is awaiting a statement from its board of management.
