Racing returns to McNamara Park raceway this weekend after a five month hiatus, with the final round of the SA Road Racing State Championships as well as the Master of Mac Park feature races.
As an added bonus, the meeting also features the SA Sidecar State Championships. With a field of 14 sidecars entered, the racing will be fierce and promises to be an exciting spectacle to for both riders and spectators.
Large fields in the hotly contested limited and 300cc classes also promise close racing, while 600cc Supersports and 1000cc Superbikes will also feature prominently.
Australian Superbike (ASBK) rider Declan Carberry is making a welcome return to racing after injury earlier in the year and will be hoping to add his name to the prestigious ‘Master of Mac Park’ winners list. In 2023 he pushed eventual winner William Strugnell all the way, but without the four-time winner racing this year he fancies his chances.
With most state championship classes still not decided, riders will be giving their all to secure victory in their respective classes, as well as aiming to take out the Master feature races.
Qualifying takes place Saturday morning with racing Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, culminating in the feature races.
Full canteen and bar facilities are available. Spectators are well catered for with excellent viewing spots around the track, as well as being able to wander the pits and see the action up close.
Entry is only $10 per day or $15 for the weekend, with under 16s free.
